Finding different ways to improve muscular endurance without getting bored or giving up can be tough. We’re here to help you get started. Read on for a few tips that can help you improve your muscular endurance.
1. Weight Training
Table of Contents
Weight training doesn’t stop being important when you’re training for endurance rather than pure strength. You need to keep up with a weight training routine, but it will look a bit different.
When you’re aiming for strength, you’re likely doing low reps at high weights. You may be sticking somewhere between 6-10 reps. You’ll also likely be taking longer rests so your body can recover.
When you try to figure out how to improve muscular endurance, you’ll have to switch things up. Instead of high weight and low reps, reverse it. You want lower weights and higher reps.
Choose a weight that you can handle for at least 12 repetitions, if not 15. Keep your rest periods short. You can superset endurance exercises if you want to get more out of your workout.
2. Surprising Your Body
Training for endurance doesn’t mean that you never change anything about your workout. You’ll still need to make changes to surprise and challenge your body if you want to continue seeing improvement.
If your workout no longer feels challenging, make it harder by increasing the number of repetitions or decreasing the amount of time that you spend between sets.
You may be able to keep those two things the same by increasing the weight, but don’t prioritize high weight over high reps.
3. Supplements: Yes Or No?
Many people wonder about whether or not incorporating supplements is good for endurance training. There’s nothing wrong with it, though it may be helpful to talk to a doctor first to make sure that supplements are right for you.
You can, of course, improve muscular endurance with SARMS, but make sure that you’re in good health first. See more information
You should also make sure that you’re getting enough protein. Protein supplements are affordable and easy to add to your diet. Your muscles will repair themselves more efficiently if you provide them with enough protein.
4. Consistency
Any time you’re trying to improve your body, consistency is key. Improving muscular endurance is no exception.
Make sure to work all of your main muscle groups at least once per week, even if your sessions are short. You should still incorporate rest days, but you shouldn’t have to rest as much as you would if you were focusing on building strength.
Building endurance takes time. Stick with it and you will see results.
