Paramount Pictures has announced that the sequel to the surprise success of this summer’s Sonic The Hedgehog movie will be released on November 23rd, 2020. Paramount Pictures will be spending over $100 million on this film, which is more than twice as much as the first movie ($50 million).
The story for Sonic 2 will begin with Eggman having defeated Sonic and captured him, but he was rescued by Knuckles after he rescued Sonic from being trapped inside a robot.
Eggman then decides to make his robot as well as build a base so he can capture all of his enemies. He also sends out an invention that releases Chaos Emeralds into the world.
The story continues where the first movie left off, with Sonic and Tails trying to stop Eggman’s plans again, but they have no idea what they are up against this time. They manage to rescue Sonic from being trapped in a robot and find him in space where he meets Ray, who is also one of Eggman’s robots.
They then escape while fighting off several more robots before reaching Dr. Robotnik’s base on another planet called Metal Harbor where they discover that there are even more robots there waiting for them!
