There are some major changes, deletions, and merging in the JEE Main 2024 syllabus as per the official brochure released. Latest Changes to JEE Main Syllabus 2024
NTA has reduced the JEE Main syllabus 2024 to help candidates shed some study load. The aspirants can go through the new syllabus from the official website of NTA to gain an idea about the JEE Main deleted chapters and important topics. Deleted Chapters:
- Physics: According to the latest updates, students appearing for the January and April sessions can skip the unit on the Communication Device. Furthermore, chapters such as Capacitors and Capacitance have also been removed.
- Mathematics: In Mathematics, NTA has deleted the chapters on mathematical induction, reasoning, and a few topics from three-dimensional geometry.
- Chemistry: A maximum number of deletions has been done from Chemistry. Some of the deleted chapters include surface chemistry, environmental chemistry, states of matter, s-block elements, etc.
Additions and Mergers:
- Physics: Chapters on Optics, Electromagnetic Induction, and Alternating Current have been merged into a single chapter.
- Mathematics: The chapter on Set, Relation, and Functions will now be covered as two separate chapters. Linear programming, three-dimensional geometry, and vectors are now merged into a single chapter.
- Chemistry: The chapters on coordination compounds and environment chemistry are now a single chapter.
