You wouldn’t believe how many accidents I’ve heard about due to using the incorrect blade size. When the blade that comes with a circular saw model isn’t up to par, splintered ends result. It may cause tear-outs and ruin the entire piece.
Prepare the Blade
To set the saw blade over the plywood sheet, you must use the proper depth. Make the necessary adjustments and increase the depth to the desired level.
If your blade setup is too deep, you’ll end up dragging a lot of extra blades through the sheet. On the other side, if you work with a blade setup that is too shallow, there will be very little cutting.
A good rule of thumb is to keep the saw a quarter inch below the sheet. Set your blade to an inch of depth if you’re working with a 34-inch thick sheet. It is critical to use a support system.
When cutting any type of wood, especially plywood sheets, it’s critical to use some kind of support to balance the entire piece and do not move.
Place two sawhorses on top of each other and lay long 2x4s across them. These will hold your sheet in place while you cut. You can use any 2x4s you have on hand for this and use a circular saw to keep your sheet in place.

The blade teeth of a circular saw usually enter the sheet from below. It climbs to the top and then exits the sheet.
When the saw emerges from the top, there may be some chipping. It will be smoothed out if the better face is kept below.Measure twice before cutting once. It’s time to draw a cutting line on the floor. It should line up squarely with the plywood edge. Keeping this in mind, take careful measurements.
Scoring the line you just marked is a good idea. You’ll get a smoother cut this way. For this, a utility knife will suffice. Simply run the knife over the mark. You’ll need to repeat this procedure sometimes to get a complete score.
You won’t be able to regrow the wood once it’s been cut. As a result, it’s a good rule of thumb to double-check your measurements before cutting. This minor inconvenience will save you from having to start over with a new piece of wood.

Get a piece of plywood with the factory edge first. You must now secure them to the cutting surface with a few clamps.
The base plate of the saw is crucial in this situation. The same can be said for the shoe. You should make careful adjustments to ensure that the shoe fits snugly with the guide. Make sure the blade is aligned with the cut mark.
